P.L.A.N. Get inspired
Empowering Teachers for the Digital Age
Here you will find ideas for creating digital learning tools, design thinking and Srum for education, pedagogical ideas for digital transformation along with user orientation in your lessons and, last but not least, motivational appetizers to combat frustration.
At the PLAN Project, we are a group of teachers who are not technical experts but have learned from our own experiences in the Erasmus+ P.L.A.N. project. We aim to share these experiences and support fellow educators in navigating the ever-evolving education landscape. We want to provide you with the tools, knowledge, and inspiration we have gathered to turn digital transformation into reality in your classroom. Whether you’re looking to implement Scrum, explore Design Thinking, or develop your own digital learning tools, we are happy to share our experiences. You are welcome to download and share the documents.

Pedagogical Ideas
Empower the learning process
In our PLAN project, we have gathered educational ideas that go beyond traditional instruction in digital learning. In an increasingly digital world, it is crucial to foster creativity and humanity, creating an atmosphere that encourages initiative, critical thinking, and empathy. Our goal is to make school a place where both students and teachers enjoy spending time and learning together.
We would be glad if you were inspired by our ideas.
21st century skills for teachers
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, it’s essential for educators to embrace new skills and mindsets. Our “21st Century Skills for Teachers” graphic is designed to inspire you with aspects needed for digital transformation. By fostering openness, team spirit, user orientation, creativity, critical thinking, and initiative, we aim to create an educational environment where both teachers and students thrive.
We need to step out of our comfort zone, embrace vulnerability, and see mistakes as opportunities for growth. We experienced in our project that our first explainer video was not engaging or the first digital escape room was not attractive enough, but we got better with the feedback from our colleagues and the students. So, join us in transforming education and making our schools a place where everyone loves to learn. At least most of the time.

Golden Circle of understanding
Simon Sinek's TED talk about the Golden Circle encouraged us to think differently about motivation and leadership – also in school and the classroom. He shows how to start with the “why” to give meaning to our own organization's strategy. He points out that most organizations are too busy doing what and forget the why. But watch the TED Talk and see for yourself.
-
Why? - This question addresses the purpose, cause, or belief behind what you do. It’s about understanding the core motivation and mission that drives us and our organization.
-
How? - This question focuses on the process or approach taken to achieve the “Why.” It involves the methods, values, and principles that guide our actions.
-
What? - This question pertains to the tangible outcomes or products resulting from our efforts. It’s about what we actually do or offer or P.L.A.N. to do.
In our P.L.A.N. Project, we got inspired by these questions and came up with ideas and aspects of why we are engaged in this project, how we want to learn and work, and what we want to accomplish.

Story Telling to enrich the learning experience
Our first attempts to create digital tools often failed. There was too much information and it turned out that our tools lacked a story to encourage learners to stay tuned. Therefore, pay attention to storytelling in your tools.
Storytelling is a powerful tool in creating digital resources because it engages users emotionally and intellectually, making the content more memorable and impactful. It helps to simplify complex concepts, making them accessible and relatable. By weaving narratives into digital tools, educators can foster a deeper connection with their audience, encouraging active participation and learning. Storytelling also promotes creativity and innovation, inspiring users to think outside the box. Ultimately, it transforms digital tools into dynamic, interactive experiences that resonate with learners.

How to create a storyline: watch our video
You want to create an explainer video to communicate your message clearly and effectively. You already have an idea in mind, but you're afraid of presenting your video to a large audiance? Often they need a story to get along easier with the information.

Flip the Script on Education: Personalized Learning for Every Student
With the flipped classroom approach, we can use digital learning products created by us teachers or the students.
Students work on content and initial information at home independently using tailored digital media, often with the help of video content. This allows them to get used to the process of self-study and learn at their own pace.

21 Century Skills
21st century skills are competencies that will be important in the future. The focus is particularly on 4C skills. We have incorporated these into our marketing strategy business game. Students learn Collaboration skills by having to develop a marketing concept with team members. Creativity through the design of products and advertising. Communication by exchanging ideas with team members and stakeholders. Critical Thinking by weighing up slow fashion and fast fashion. In addition, Digital skills were practiced. For more impressions of our business game, check out our Instagram channel.

Teacher Training
Digital change is rapid and we as teachers have to deal with these developments.
Complex training programs quickly become outdated. For us, it makes sense to focus on short training units with flexible content and lively dialogue. We want to make a contribution to lifelong learning with agile methods. We present four agile methods. In the Download, you will find descriptions, examples and case studies. So you can create your own teacher training.

Use of AI
Inspiration & fEEDBACK
We have used and learned to appreciate AI in various situations in the project. We have used it to familiarize ourselves with techniques, discover teaching possibilities and areas of application, but also to receive feedback for our products in order to develop them further. AI is developing so rapidly and the possibilities are becoming more and more wide-ranging. We still have a lot to discover here and will keep you up to date with our experiences.

Motivational Support
Encouragement & Cheering Up
As you may already know, we are not technical experts, but we are eager to embark on a journey to gather the experiences necessary to connect people, technology, and space, making learning an experience that empowers learners for future developments. We are a team of teachers from five countries, supporting each other. We learn from one another and motivate each other to walk the path of digital transformation together.
We would be delighted if we could also inspire you.
GLOW & GROW
We have learned the hard way that it is not always easy to move forward. There will be times when you feel frustrated and challenged. We make mistakes or our prototypes look poor. Other colleagues may have more experience. But we have learned that every step is a necessary step towards growth. It was great for us to share our experiences as a team.
Journey of Emotions
In this graphic, we illustrate that we initially assumed that the straight path from A to B was the best, but when we set off, we were surprised by new developments, there were difficulties but also assistance and support. So our route differs slightly from the original route, but in hindsight, we can see that the experiences help us to reach our destination and gain experience.
Productive Struggle
Productive Struggle can be seen in a positive light, as it promotes deeper learning.
Productive struggle is the process of challenging learning that encourages perseverance and creativity in problem-solving. When students encounter problems they can’t solve right away, such as those on new assessments, it’s important to encourage them to persevere rather than give up.
